Ger Loughnane is an alright sort, his appreciation for Limerick Hurling is well documented and he was a great manager in the 90’s to be fair.

He was although i find that he overdoes the hyperbole at times. He made a bit of a mess of the Galway job though after promising that he would deliver the all ireland for them!I don’t like the way he feels the need to constantly rub people up the wrong way. That comment he made about Offaly was bang out of order!

Galway are a mess though at the best of times, capable of beating anyone on their day with class hurlers, but they are notoriously inconsistent, capable of putting in an unbelievable performance in the Leinster semi final this Sunday against KK, and falling completely flat against Dublin. It’s hard to sum up tbh.

They say inter club rivalry, not being used to playing in the championship until August is a factor, it’s hard to fathom tbh

Mr. Justice Martin Nolan. He today informed Seanie FitzPatrick’s legal team that they could collect their costs of the recent 48 day “trial” involving the one-time teflon banker from himself. Legal minds such as @count of monte cristo and @artfoley may find some solace in the legalise of the ruling, but the basic nub of it was a hearty Fuck Off , the people have had enough of this cunts shite-hawkery.

Mike Ingham, Chief Football Correspondent for the BBC will bring the curtain down on a long career after he does the commentary on the World Cup Final tomorrow evening. I remember during my youth, the faint tones of his voice emerging through the white noise being a welcome sound, having spent ages moving the dial trying to tune in to a midweek game on BBC Radio 5 Live. Nice interview with him here in which he recalls working on the last 8 World Cups, including some fond memories of commentating on the Irish games in 1990 and 1994.
