Brendan Maher for all the work he does on a daily basis.

Special needs assistant bringing joy and happiness to young lads with autism ect.

Man is a hero in my eyes.

Just on a point of order…Brendan Maher is a Teacher, not a Special Needs Assistant.

I watched it on a documentary on virgin media .

He is defo a special needs assistant it shows his job when he swapped hurling for cricket.

Steve harmison took his place as a sna and could not comment brendan enough

Mate, dont even joke about it.

Yeah, you’re right.

My medal is priceless, it’s a feat of accomplishment and success, it’s a tribute of greatness, my greatness.

Sorry guys, it’s mine - if you want one you’re just going to have to go out and win one, like I did.

medals and trophies mean nothing. the accomplishment means everything.

you sound like Ross O’Carroll-Kelly, do you put on the medal often to feel good about yourself?

I always found it strange when lads say “I dont know where my medals are”. I found it a disrespect to the entire concept. Why dont you know where they are? They’re special, the accomplishment thing is fleeting, the photos and medals are what last. A physical manifestation of what you’ve achieved.

You should always have them in your arse pocket lads. Just ask Paul O’Connell.

Medals are the tangible evidence of accomplishment.

The important thing is not to try to live off the medal for twenty years after I suppose.

I was just thinking the other day that I don’t know where my medals are. Doesn’t bother me at all, but I could put my hand on my fathers and grandfathers medals and that does mean a lot to me.

I’d take a local match report of game over a medal… Great to look back at old team photos too… The physical medal means shit IMHO

I remember looking at my old man’s handful of medals once… He’d two junior medals from different counties for same year…:rofl:
