Unwarranted but a haymaker……

Nice of the chap to do that the week before he announces a tour and tickets go on sale. I’d say that 60 grand he spent on the bar tabs was money well spent. Of course the mugs lapped as a mighty sound gesture.

Yer man Eddie Murphy of Thomastown had Snow Patrol playing on that stage back in their hayday, would you believe. He must be in the know @EmilioButragueno?
Girl who was managing it at the time was going out with the drummer for a few years. They were down lots and played quite a bit around the Last Straw album. Ted is the owner, Eddie Murphy is a long time dead. PH would be known and liked there.
Also, Paul Heaton and Jackie Abbot’s gig was scheduled for April 2020 in the Point and is now only coming to fruition for ticket holders. This is the same for all his dates so the previous few posts are miles off the truth.
Heaton offered all his future royalties from Beautiful South/Housemartins and his solo stuff to the British Govt so they could give the money to the NHS (this was pre-covid) and they refused. He said he has made enough money.
A more alright sort you won’t meet, and puts most listed here in the ha’penny place.

He gave fifty grand to NME staff too when it closed.
