I’m not sure if it makes you a better President but this in comparison to Theresa May last year is powerful. You have to be a special kind of person to be able to do that. I don’t think it means Theresa May didn’t care, but she didn’t have the ability to do that.

I’m not disparaging him as he never used it for political gain, but it also shows off his natural political ability. The ability to interact with people. For all the George W Bush hate he supposedly had the same, he could make anyone he met feel like the most important person in the room.

Trump is a unique creature. He’s a clown playing a role. I doubt he ever supports guns deep down, he just uses it for his own end.

Arming teachers is a nutcase idea, they are trained to teach not offer security. There needs to be security though, as schools are soft targets and far too vulnerable to attacks by the deranged. The tragic thing is there was security, and the armed officer was totally derelict in his duties to protect and serve. Shameful.

Might be worth considering retraining veterans to work as teachers, Trump could kill two birds with one stone. And when they snap from PTSD, he’ll take a few more pesky kids with him, they’d most likely have ended up as a drain on state resources anyway.

Veterans, free of PTSD, would make good school security. Little Cruz wouldn’t have lasted long. It’s sad to think it’s necessry but we protect other soft targets like airports with armed officers, in most countries actually, either overly or covertly.
