An 18th century right to bear arms might make some sense out in the wilds of Montana if it was regulated properly but is absolutely incomprehensibly stupid in the context of 21st century urban living. Itās a recipe for disaster and is leading to disaster after disaster.

The only solution would be a complete blanket security around schools by the police. I donāt see any other way. Itās not practical and is hugely expensive, but whats a realistic solution? The cats already out of the bag with so many guns available and in the possession of people in the US.
There is essentially no solution, such is the corner America has painted itself into.
One of the sinister developments of the last couple of years has been the vilification of mentally ill people and the stigmatisation of mental illness. This will have the happy effect of driving mental illness further underground and disincentivizibg people who need treatment from seeking treatment.
Bizarrely, this utter cunt Wayne La Pierre wants a national register of the mentally ill but is opposed to a national register of guns.

These are all fiddling around the edges measures. Raising the age to 21. Seriously?
They give the impression something will be done, but if all these measures were carried out, you still have millions of millitary style weapons (dont nitpick over this like you did before, these weapons are designed to kill multiple people at a time, they are millitary weapons) in the hands of people. It diesnāt even take someone with a mental illness. A very very small proportion of crime is committed by people with mental illness.
If you want to tackle it, actually tackle it, you do an amnesty, buyback, make things illegal and stop fucking around the edges, like what Australia did.
Not going to happen, youāre stuck with this problem.
