I cannot believe how good this lad still is. Back hacking around as an extra defender, up flicking balls here and there, and of course creating goals and delivering some of the most beautiful passes you’ll ever see.
What age is this cunt now? 36. A joke, he seems fitter and harder working than before.

He makes soccer watchable.
The thing is he doesn’t work very hard. Rarely sprints and usually near the bottom of distance covered stats. It’s smart use of energy I guess.

Italian footballer of the year for the last two years.
I don’t think that’s correct, pal. Can you verify that distance covered assertion? I thought he was usually among the highest distance covered, just by shuttling over and back the pitch to get space to receive the ball.
I was basing that on Tonight’s performance, and as I alluded to, it seemed something he was doing more of.
He is of course a genius of energy conservation.
anyone still playing at that level, especially in countries like Italy and Spain are full to the gills with drugs, even Giggs playing untill his was 40 using “yoga”. my arse

Totti looking good too mind.
I would disagree with that. Pirlo is a great player alright but Totti has to be the most selfless player around, he completely sacrificed his natural game today to play as a penalty box striker to score two cracking goals today. He is a genius and a leader.
Pirlo is the same really. I would just have a preference for Pirlo, but there isn’t much in it. He is arguably more rounded due to playing with different clubs.
Totti’s spitting incident will always keep him behind, and Pirlo has achieved far more at International level.

For me Totti has the more complete range of passing, I haven’t seen anyone as good in my whole life at first time passes, off either foot, back to goal, awkward bouncing balls, nothing on - he just makes them work, time and time again. He is a genius, I wouldn’t swap him for anyone. Pirlo is magical too but I think Totti is out on his own and Pirlo had some lean years as well, Totti has been at the top of his game for his entire career.
I’d choose Pirlo over Totti every time. Totti is perhaps the greatest striker to grace SERIE A since Van Basten, but Pirlo can control a game in the way Totti can’t.
