I have that bloody CD! Tribute to DK. What a band.
I have it on cassette myself. I used to listen to it a lot in the car.
Napalm Death. See above video.
That’s proper heavy pal. I’ll go with Carcass. Did you hear their last album?
Sadly not.
@KinvarasPassion - not Killing Joke’s heaviest song by a long stretch, but in light of other discussions this is worth a listen.
Seeing these guys live you’d learn more about the EU treaties than you would listening to RTE and politicians.
I’ll bet it was one of his fellow band-members.
Anyone heard the story about Megadeth in Belfast? Dave Mustaine went on a walk around the city on the day of the show. Saw a guy selling tshirts and had a chat with him and was kindly given an explanation of the situation in Northern Ireland by this lad. They went on stage that evening and played a first song, following which Mustaine greeted the audience and followed up with “give Ireland back to the irish”. Cue riots, end of the show, and the band had to be smuggled out of the city.
Brilliant! What was the first song? “Only Our Rivers Run Free”. In fairness to Mustaine, his lyrical content has never been a million miles from this. “Holy Wars…” (already posted here) was inspired by that Belfast gig apparently.
“Brother will kill brother, spilling blood across the land. Killing for religion - something I don’t understand.”
Well he killed a teenage concert-goer once, so he probably had it coming.
One Minute Silence - Donnington 2003. Brian Barry, their frontman from Tipp, had the crowd fired up. One of the best gigs I’ve been to.

Iron Maiden are playing in Wroclaw next year. Is it worth heading across for that?
I travelled to Donnington to see them a few years back (a few years more than I’d care to remember!). Worth it. The support line-up was brilliant too.
Who’s supporting them? And how easy is it to get to the venue?
It is at the football stadium in Wroclaw. About 2 and a half hours on the motorway from me. Special guest is Ghost and supported by The Raven Age. July 3rd 2016.
Sold. When the lights go down and they play Fear of the Dark that’ll be something else.
