With the new percolation test rules, there won’t be a house built in rural Ireland ever again. That’s what those cunts above in Dublin want. When they visit the countryside to go rambling* they only want to see thatched cottages and cocks of hay to remind them of their overpriced Paul Henry paintings.
New land laws tomorrow
Land improvement legislation will be signed into law by tomorrow (Thursday) evening. It will require planning consent and an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for drainage of wetlands over 2 ha, for removal of ditches over 4 km, for re-contouring of more than 5 ha of land, and for intensive use of over 50 ha of under-utilised land. Far lower thresholds exist for the requirement to receive Department approval for such works, just 0.1ha for wetland drainage.
If I don’t get planning permission for my cottage and outside toilet I’ll be going on the road with my caravan and pony, driven off the land by wanker middle class planning types with twee views of the countryside.
The Government have announced that the registration will only cost €5 if you register before June. After hearing Mattie McGrath speak against the proposed bill this evening, I now fully support it.
