The US and its allies have funded Islamist extremism - which is extremely right wing and which only has a fag paper of difference in terms of ideology between it and much American right wing ideology - in many places.
The US right wing is fuming that an actual Syrian rebeliion by Syrians brought down its bosom buddy the butcher Assad because Assad was allied to Russia who they are allied to.
The difference between ISIS and any other violent Islamist extremist ideology versus white right wing terrorism - and leaving aside the fact that the US and its allies have actually funded these ideologies - is that contempible and grotesque as they are, a very solid political grievance exists which drives violence by Muslims and the retreat into these sort of crazy ideologies. The solid reason is that the western white man has absolutely fucked Muslims red raw for centuries. Islamist ideology is merely the totem around which these grievances gather. Itās a rallying cry to gain foot soldiers.
Grotesque as 9/11 was, it had a solid and justified political grievance behind it. That grievance was that the white western man, especially America, had screwed Muslims and the Muslim world over and over and over again. And that they would be hit with force in revenge. Have a bit of that.

Iāve never denied there was a legitimate political grievance which was the central reason something like the Provos existed. That reason was Catholics were treated like shit for centuries by British Unionists. Thatās a statement of the bleedinā obvious.
