Good man, Joe
Anthony Daly could be on his way to Galway if he decides to quit as Dublin manager -
While he has yet to be formally nominated for the Galway job, itâs understood that it will happen immediately if he leaves Dublin.
Anthony Cunningham, who has been at the Galway helm for three seasons, is interested in continuing but since his term is up, he will have to take his chances against other nominees.
Mattie Kenny, who worked with Cunningham at senior and U-21 level, Johnny Kelly, Galwayâs current U-21 manager and Brendan Lynskey, a double All-Ireland winner in 1987 and '88, have been nominated and others may be added in the coming week.
Daly has been repeatedly mentioned in Galway since the county went through a second disappointing season, which wiped out the optimism experienced after beating Kilkenny in the 2012 Leinster final, before taking the Cats to a replay in the All-Ireland final.
Cunningham is keen to continue and has considerable support, including from former Galway treble All-Ireland winning manager and Irish Independent columnist Cyril Farrell.
However, others who feel a change is required if Galway are to advance after two Championship campaigns where their only wins were against Laois. Galway clubs are entitled to make nominations, after which an interview panel can decide to work within that group or extend an invitation to someone outside the list.
If Daly were available, he would have extensive support in Galway, based on his achievements with Dublin, whom he guided to Allianz League and Leinster titles after several barren decades. He is expected to announce his plans shortly.
Galway hope to have the manager issue finalised by mid-September for the resumption of the club championships.
He has done it again:clap:
well suited to the bluffers
Some drop in expenses for Dalo⌠and a serious drop in âbackroom teamâ numbers.

That makes my post factually correct
Might suit him, when in total control and having less people over Clare i thought he made an average enough side highly competitive.
Will
Not
Happen
who will KK get in after Cody steps down Sunday night, joe?
he took over in 20o4, in 2002 they were in the AI final and 2003 beat tipp by 13 points, they were more competitive before he took them over
