We go again!!!
I’m seeking advice here guys.
The 11 year old wants speakers for her iPhone (5s or something), she said its to have them in her pocket for the back of the car etc.
Do I just get plug in ones ? You know, that plug into the headphone attachment. Or Bluetooth? I think these need batteries.
Wouldn’t the ones you plug in be better, ie
no messing with batteries and charging etc.
All sensible, reasonable and relevant advice will be appreciated and awarded with a ‘like’.
We’ve been through this before. No harm to keep kids up to date with technology.
PS. You should also take note that I’ve not awarded a ‘like’ for your irrelevant and unhelpful comment.
Potentially exposing them to too much at too early an age. I know some posters on here believe that a kid should be able to decide if they want a sex change at 6 years old so fully understand that some may see my views as old fashioned.
Theirs peers have them. Now normally I’d tell my lads to do their own thing … but no phone means social ostracism and definitely leads to bullying and all sort of social exclusion. I don’t agree with any of it, but unfortunately that’s the way it is.
That’s the bother of it. Same goes for the Nike runners and superdry jackets and an endless list of products. It breaks my bollox to pay €120+ for the latest runners that’ll last 3 months, but you’re setting them up to be ridiculed if they turn up with the wrong fashion. Really, really annoying to have to give in … but you don’t want to be ridiculed.
The playground is now (as it always was) a tough place.
No. actual speakers. I googled them and got lots of options. I don’t want to go down the road of batteries and charging etc.( Bluetooth option)
Can’t I just get a set to plug right into the phone? No messing then.
Imagine having a sex change at 6 but having to wait another 5 years until you were 11 to get a smartphone to upload mobile pictures to your social media profiles.
