Arsenal FC 2014/15

That cunt Bono in the crowd has just jinxed them

Ref should have added on a few more seconds there for time wasting. Gutted for the great Arsene Wenger.

So fucking predictable.

Bono looks old.

More positives than negatives.

The same fucking shit. Play when there’s nothing at stake. The worst part is they actually gave me some hope there, the utter utter cunts.

arsenal shouldnt be allowed in the champions league, they bring nothing to it,they have the most boring fans & team

+1 perennial wasters

Arsene Wenger is one of the great football managers. He has kept Arsenal near the top for 20 years without fail when in other hands the club would likely have fallen way behind given the financial advantages of others. Everything he does is focussed towards the long term good of Arsenal as opposed to the short-termism of other managers and clubs. He has blended modern European thinking with the very best of old-school British values throughout his time in charge. A point Steven Reid made last night about how the lack of appreciation of possession football in England is at the root of English football’s difficulties sums up how Wenger is entirely correct to go against the crowd and stick to his principles. Arsenal and Liverpool are the best equipped English teams to have success in Europe in the near future. Short-termists may call for Wenger’s head, but they’re idiots. Arsenal will miss him hugely when he’s gone, but that won’t be for a good few years yet.

Arsenal’s juggernaut is picking up pace. 1-0 up at Newcastle. A real threat to Liverpool’s title aspirations.

1-2 now. Had been cruising.

Watching the game now instead?

Fantastic post  I’ve great admiration for Wenger even as a United fan, love sitting down to watch Arsenal play.

A world class day out in North London

If Arsenal win the Cup Final and move ahead of Man U onto 12 wins, will that be the first time they have every led the roll of honour?

I’ve been thinking about that for days myself. Does anyone know the answer ?

I reckon Arsenal have never led the role of honour outright. One thing that sticks in my mind is Spurs last win in 1991 made them record holders on 8, one clear of Aston Villa. Aston Villa had led the roll of honour outright for nearly 60 years until Spurs moved level on 7 with them in 1982. Man U won their 9th in 1996 to move ahead of Spurs. Arsenal didn’t win their 9th until 2003.
