Wonder what Bruce Rioch makes of it all and the indulgence shown to the Alsatian. Poor Bruce in his one season at the helm lifted Woolwich from 12th to 5th and just missed out on the Woolwich holy grail of 4th place by the heartbreaking metric of goals scored. His thanks for such dramatic improvement in the space of 12 months, the sack.

Has confirmed he will be leaving at the end of the season, would have liked to see him go for another few years but even he has realised he’s over the hill.
An absolute legend for Arsenal as much as it pains me to say it, one of the all time greats.

I’m genuinely in shock. I’m devastated.
The last few years have been toxic but Christ he produced some great teams over the years.
For some reason, Robert Pires’s goal in the FA Cup against Aston Villa is one of my all time favourite memories of his teams.

And will happen to the person taking over from Arsene. Always happens after a long term manager leaves a club. Look at United after Ferguson. They will need either a big name manager who will be successful from the start or a Rioch/Moyes type fallguy to come in and do a season before getting a replacement.
Didn’t realise @briantinnion was still supporting Woolwich. Thought he’d throw in the towel after he requested the 2017/18 thread to be locked back at the end of January.
