AS Roma 2012/2013

Balzaretti is an awful footballer, absolutely terrible.

That’s a very strange change from Zeman as Totti departs with Destro coming in. Totti has been our best attacker by a mile tonight, Lamela has been quiet and Osvaldo very poor.

Another strange change as Florenzi comes off for Marquinho.

How the fuck is it not a penalty?

Penalty!!!

Good decision from the assistant ref there. Def a pen.

Excellent finish too

Cool penalty from Pablo as he gives us the lead, he has been poor tonight and has missed a lot of great chances but that was really cool under pressure, we’ve definitely deserved that lead and I hope we can hold out.

Balzaretti is having a nightmare, get him off.

Good play by Pjanic as Destro should have gotten his shot off earlier.

When did Bradley play for Villa Bomber?

I believe it was under Houllier, he joined in January of that season on loan but didn’t get much of a look in. We really should be out of sight here.

Agreed, its a dodgy lead right now even though its mostly Roma looking the more dangerous.

Ah here, put this game to bed. :shakefist:

You can relax now lad. More than deserved in fairness considering all the chances missed.

Pjanci seals it.

A comprehensive victory for Roma. Marcos has been MOTM tonight - what a talent.

Encouraging performance, next two games are away to Pescara and Siena so we should be targetting 6 points there. Only 12 points off the top now lads - keep the faith!

Kick off formation tonight.

Erik Lamela is out of action for three weeks.

Roma have ended their relationship with Kappa. :frowning:

While this is great news for the likes of Bandage I am disappointed that I will no longer get to parade my athletic physique in their really stylish and fitting sporting attire. It’s ended quite ugly as well, Roma have cancelled their agreement citing ‘defects’ and Kappa are suing in return.

A really must win game for us today, we need 6 points from today’s match against Pescara and the next game against Siena as we have a difficult spell before Christmas with Milan and Fiorentina on the agenda and directly after Christmas we travel to Napoli. A win today and a positive result between Milan win tonight puts us back in the title race.

Lamela is out today but Tachtsidis and Burdisso return from suspension, De Rossi still suspended. It will be interesting to see what Zeman does in attack, whether he will bring in Lopez, Destro or play Pjanic in at attacking role. I’m not a fan of Destro being played out wide and Pjanic hasn’t really managed to adapt to Zeman’s tactics so I think young Nico would be the best choice. It will also be interesting to see if the midfield remains unchanged, Bradley and Florenzi did very well last week but I was unimpressed with Pjanic for the most part, even though he did come to life in the last twenty minutes and scored a goal. Marquinho has definitely been underused this term and Tachtsidis is a player who really looks to carry out Zeman’s instructions although he is quite immobile when we don’t have the ball.

I’d really like to see Dodo get a run at left back today, Balzaretti was terrible last week and he keeps making the wrong decisions when he gets into good attacking areas. Burdisso should be returned to the lineup ahead of Castan as well. I hope to find a stream before kick off and will post one up if I do.

this deserves a separate thread

Roma and Kappa were the most iconic sporting partnership
