AS Roma 2012/2013

Rumours of City sniffing around DDR, 250k a week acc to Marcotti, with something north of 25M.

Interesting :strokechin:

Daniele will never leave, and if he did - he is no Totti.

We played Aris Saloniki in our final pre-season game tonight, we won 3-0. Osvaldo, Bradley and Destro on target. The team lined out as follows:

[Soccer][gk]Stekelenburg[/gk]
[rb]Piris[/rb] [rcb]Burdisso[/rcb] [lcb]Castan[/lcb] [lb]Balzaretti[/lb]
[rcm]Bradley[/rcm] [cdm]DeRossi[/cdm] [lcm]Pjanic[/lcm]
[rst]Lopez[/rst] [st]Osvaldo[/st] [lst]Totti[/lst][/Soccer]

Dodo has also made his bow tonight, a much quicker return than expected. I’d imagine that is how we will start next week - I think Destro is suspeneded for the opening game and Tachtsidis is injured at the minute. Lopez or Lamela seems to be the big decision for Mr. Zeman.

Zeman’s kick-off tactics in use tonight:

Marquinhos is a very ugly boy.

Marquinhos is setting out for Roma and his brother claims Zdenek Zeman assured “he could play on September 2 against Inter.”

The Corinthians defender is reportedly jetting off tomorrow so he can be in Rome to complete the paperwork, having agreed a one-year loan worth €1.5m with option to buy for a further €4.5m.

“We are agreed on almost everything, so there are only details to sort out,” Corinthians technical director Roberto De Andrade told Lancenet.

“I think that it will all be made official on Monday at the latest.”

Still only 18, Marquinhos was expected to be a fringe player at the Olimpico, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

“Roma Coach Zeman called him up and said he’s never seen a player so good at restarting moves from defence after winning back the ball,” his brother told news agency ANSA.

“He also said that he admires him and could play on September 2 against Inter in Milan.”

Marquinhos was the captain of Brazil’s South America Under-17 tournament-winning side in 2011.

Danielino held a press conference today confirming he will be staying at Roma.

The transfer of Marquinhos has been completed.

Looks like we are also signing Uruguayan keeper Mauro Goicoechea from Danubio.

Roma have released players’ play-lists on iTunes.

I’ve got chills and they’re multiplying…

He’s fucking yards offside there. :guns:

We’re 1-0 down but he’s fucking yards offside.

FFS.

Crucial one-on-one save by Stekelenburg to keep the deficit at 1-goal. Earlier, a goal bound Lamela effort struck Osvaldo in the face. Pretty uninspiring stuff from Roma in the first half. 1-0 down at half time.

Osvaldo heads a corner off the post after Lamela’s freekick was tipped around the post before that.

Come on Roma.

OSVALDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Overhead volley.

Top corner.

Goal of the season.

Get in.

He tried a scorpion kick just before it. Remember his disallowed overhead against Lecce last season too? Osvaldo loves an overhead. We’re transformed here.

And then we concede an incredibly shitty goal to fall behind again.
