Monchi absolutely destroyed the club. We have scrapheap players there on huge wages that we can’t get shot of. We shipped a big loss on Schick, still paying a big chunk of Nzonzi’s wage, Pastore never fit and not wanted and one of the highest earners at the club. Cristante brought as a midfielder and now being used as a make shift centre back.
Absolutely shambolic dealings when you consider he had was able to spend all the profit on Sabatini buys like Alisson, Nainggolan, Salah, Rudige etc.
The 3-4-2-1 is suiting us and he has resurrected the likes of Karsdorp and Peres back into the reckoning. Villar is having a very solid season too.
Petrachi did a great job with transfers last season with his hands clearly tied.
I’d like to see him stick with Villar over Cristante. The indication is Pedro won’t be fit to start but a cameo is likely if needed. Need a big game out of Dzeko and I can always see goals with the attacking trio
