We brought a Brazilian lad last year who was meant to come in as no 1 but was due to miss the start of the season so Szczesny was brought back in on loan.
After an indifferent first season, he was excellent last season. I think the fact the club seems to have confidence in Allison meant that they deemed spending that money on Szczesny as unnecessary.
If Kolarov arrives he will become our 7th signing. We’re definitely in the market for another attacker with Mahrez looking like the priority here. I hope we bring in another centre back and that for me would close a decent transfer campaign.

We’ve agreed a fee for Mahrez apparently, reportedly around €38m. I fail to see why we sold Salah to buy Mahrez but that’s the way it is.
