Truly awful performance from the Astro team last night. Beaten 7-3 by a poor Athletico de Merrion side. Missed Farmer badly but the guys who were out there should have been good enough to get a result. Disappointed to walk off the pitch to boos and there were murmurings of discontent from one or two of the players regarding the leadership.
I will live and die by my results and I firmly believe we can turn this around.

Nicosia is a very apt comparison Tinnion but I hope you’re not extending the comparison as far as the ineptitude of the management.
As players we should take collective responsibility for that dreadful performance. We’ll learn lessons and build from this but the fans had every right to react as they did.
I’m hoping it’s more of an Artmedia Bratislava for Strachan than a Nicosia for Staunton. A crushing early blow but one from which we will respond and improve.
