Great call. It might be the sporting hour of the summer.
Broad gone the ball after he smashed Hazlewood to the point boundary. But was it a no ball? 277/8.
Handy 87 run eight wicket partnership to extend the lead to 141.
Hazelwood and Starc have been rubbish. The vastly underrated Peter Siddle would have been a lot more effective here.
Has he reviewed it? They have two reviews left. Decent lead if they can make 300
Moeen’s not going to be out wondering anyway. He’s throwing the bat at everything and he’s out now. Swished at a wide one and taken down at third man.
281 all out.
England lead by 145.
Decent enough lead for England on what is still a testy wicket.
You’d imagine Rogers and Smith will have to get big knocks if Australia are to get back into it. Everyone else is a walking wicket.
Rogers gone for 6. Trapped lbw by Broad. 17/1.
Smith gone. Finn again, caught by Butler.
Aussies 66-2
Finn gets Clarke for 3 off 19 balls. Caught by Lyth.
Aussies now 76-3.
Terrific catch by Lyth.
Clarke looks finished. Its a shame, he was the best batsman in the world for a few years but all the all the back and hamstring problems look to have taken their toll.
Finn on a hat trick!
76/4!
Two it two from Finn! Voges on his way back. 76/4
Just having a look at the records here and from what I can see, if England were to bowl Australia out within about the next 10 overs it would be the shortest Ashes test match of all time, and the third shortest test match overall.
I’d settle for just finishing them off inside two days.
Even that would be the quickest Ashes victory since 1888.
92/5 Finn dismisses Marsh.
Finn again, this time Marsh gone for 6 off 24 balls.
Aussies 92-5.
They can play until 7 tonight, so it could be red rover tonight.
