Ask Mark Renton About Combat

Renton wouldn’t fight his way out of a paper bag.

“Mark Renton’s Fighting Story”
Would be a great book, and on the other side of the page you could publish “Clare’s fighting story - a complete account of IRA actions in Clare during the War of Independence”

Why would a trained killer, or indeed anyone, be in a paper bag? Are you soft in the head? You typify the average Joe Soap, giving it big licks while watching a war on tv, you’d cry like a little girl if faced with the real thing.

I don’t want to talk about any specific operations I was involved in… I can’t as such as they are classified… but lets just say after a drop off behind enemy lines one night in Clonmel, I was left to face ten savage natives, i walked away to tell the tale.
