Association Football Kits

Best:
Germany away (that’s what the FAI kit could have looked lke)
Russia home and away (not quite as good as the kit Russia wore at Lansdowne Road but still excellent efforts)
France home
Croatia home
Portuguese kit looks decent, simple 1966-style design

Worst
FAI (rank rotten, horrible jersey design, current crest is an abomination, they need to go back to the traditional shamrock)
Holland (awful shading)
Italy (wrong shade of blue and stupid looking scratch marks, have never liked Puma’s Italy kits)
Czech Republic

Why are we the only ones with a sponsor?

so John Delaney can buy booze for a few hundred fans, of course

I reckon Hill 16 will be full of wannabe Spaniards this summer as well.

Don’t like our jerseys at all.

The home one seems similar to one the Nordies used have.

The Swedish one is best I reckon

I was part of a focus group who discussed that new Irish crest, I argued vehemently against it but was on my own quite sadly and took to just drinking their beer and picking up my €50 sullenly, resigned to the knowledge that the good days of Irish football were sadly behind us.

The Swedish away one beats all others hands down. Germany away is decent, Irish away is decent, Denmark MUST go back to Hummel if it still exists, its just wrong to see them in anything else. The rest are quite pants and a sad indictment of the generic nature of Intl kits nowadays.

Germany’s kits top the bill as ever. They always have class jerseys.
Our away one is alright but the home one is rank.

After that I’d have to say the Greek home effort is the nicest followed closely by the Dutch and Swedish aways.

The only international team in world football with a sponsor on the shirt. Fucking joke.

The Greek picture isnt just weird for the jeans, the blue is their home kit, I would have thought the blue was the keepers one given the number, thats a shockingly bad photoshoot.

White one is the home kit.

Huh? Thats what I always thought, but…

Greece — Adidas (home blue, away white, goalkeeper black)

Must be a typo. Various other sites and Google images have the home one as white.

A belter of a new kit from the great institution that is Celtic FC. Black socks were worn by the club for the first 40 years so they make a return for 125th anniversary.

Very nice, I like the way the sponsor is done. When will they be hitting the shops Rocko?

Lovely kit apart from the socks and the superfluous Celtic design around the crest. Celtic jerseys should always have the classic white round neck collar.

Fair play to Celtic and to Nike, lovely kit

Nice effort from Celtic alright.

Rangers one is nice too, for however long they get to wear it.

What’s the craic with the Tennents logo under the badge. Nice when you see it first, shat when the other half of the city* are doing it too.

*something tells me that Partick Thistle based in Glasgow

Haven’t they both had the same sponsor (Tennants, NTL) in the same style for the last few years now?
Odd.

The jersey is being marketed as a special 125th anniversary edition and Tennent’s agreed to make the logo less prominent in line with that.

Sponsors don’t want to alienate supporters of the ‘other side’ - hence the joint sponsorship arrangements.
