Seems like a decent lad. Often to be seen out running on the Letterkemny roads during lockdown last year.

Yeah he stuck at it when he lost form a couple of years ago.

It’s a lonely aul thing to do - the only glory or reward is often just internal satisfaction. Hopefully he does Justice to himself in Tokyo. On his day he could get to a final but championship running is brutal as they have to run fast races back to back and that’s a challenge. He’s fast though which is a big plus in Championship off often slow first lap and a half

Kevin Young’s 46.78 for the 400 metres hurdles was the oldest track record on the books. Stood for 29 years since Barcelona in 1992.

Sydney McLaughlin has a coach with a track record of training the dodgiest athletes on the planet. She’s as clean as a seashell.

Oldest men’s record. Marita Koch 47.60 for the 400 metres and Jarmila Kratochvilova for the 800 metres still stand. They date back to the 1980’s.

He reckons he’ll run under 2:00 for 800m this summer.

I’d have loved to have seen him train and go for 400m at his peak

Why doesn’t Tom Barr run in the mixed relay given he ran in it to help them qualify?

Do you remember the old days when athletes were all ugly?

Ah lads. Gold in 11.34. Unreal. An Irish sprinter winning European u20 100m. Fantastic achievement for her and her coaches.
