Heading to London in the morning so will catch a bit of the marathon. The women’s race is seriously deep and all the top men there too apart from Kipchoge. Bit of rain but I’d say there could be some fast times.
Her coach seems absolutely excellent. He won’t be there post college. That’s a huge transition for her.
I met her a few years ago. She’s basically all legs. Gorgeous looking girl too so she’ll be a proper star. Built to run. It’s amazing to see just mad astonishing talent and now it’s realisation.
She wasn’t leaving much to the imagination here.
Birdcage walk from 11:20 on is a great spot for watching, the first of the women are coming through and then the men not far behind
Is that far from London Bridge? Getting the train into there when we land and heading to Wembley later
Not too far, its just down from Big Ben about a mile from the finish, If you cross London bridge going north you’ll have a great view too as they run towards embankment below you
Thank you
Does the coach not say in the article that he’ll keep coaching her if she turns pro?
There’s a turn near Tower Gateway where they turn right over the bridge towards mile 13 and then come back last you heading for mile 23. We got close to there in October so while you’re waiting for the pros to come you’ve a view on the bigger field if you know anyone running it to look out for.
It’s a savage atmosphere and great spectacle to see. Enjoy!
I think it’s more he will keep coaching her while she’s at university. Once that ends, the coaching relationship would have to end I think
Yeah, a Kenyan 23!
Rhasidat 11:32 for 100m tonight. 4 hundredths of Irish record.
She’s a 400m runner 100%. That’s great speed to carry over to 400 but it’s not world class.
She’s only 20 years old.
Give her a chance.
She’s world class in my eyes anyway……
8 months pregnant

What sort of pace would they be doing on that last lap?
