It’ll have to wait I’m gone for the day… he has a very sensitive stomach - the kids slipped him some of their dinner I’d say. He sleeps in a cage down stairs - a nice greeting this morning before making a few ham sambos.
You’ll struggle to get him back in the crate if he’s soiled it and was distressed in there
His mattress will be smelling like roses when i get home… Or it better be.
2 years ago my dog had to get a cruciate operation on his knee, €1500 cost & weeks of recovery
the good news is that it worked well the bad news is he has to get an op on the other back leg now - so another €1500

After the last operation they’d have raised your premium to 500 a year…so 1000 euro plus the excess of a few hundred. Much of a muchness.

I let mine go. The excess is ridiculous and whenever i went for a claim they told me it was a preexisting condition because he was at the vet before we had insurance for it. He wasn’t.

i was told to get pet insurance & to tell the insurance company that the dog was a puppy
When they find out he isn’t they won’t pay out. They get all the reports from every vet visit.
Its basically what glenshane said. You get maybe one payout where its worthwhile then your premium and excess go up to where its basically pointless.
Can’t get it myself, left it too late and his medical file is bigger than the folders Enoch Burke carried into his disciplinary hearing.

The only time I’ve had to bring a dog to the vet was when one got ripped to shreds by a pack of rival dogs.
