I brought my lad to the woods there one day and he went straight into the river my missus was freaking out saying he doesn’t know how to swim etc

Beautiful dogs, had one when I was a young fella. You’re doing well with the cat, our one half blinded the corgi when she was a pup though she managed fine.

The tough decision is whether to get the second dog, in this day and age a lot of dogs spend much of the day alone

I think if you’re doing this you should do it quickly. Leave it too late and the older dog is just pissed off by the immature pup. A couple years is massive between dogs.
Dogs are special. My little lad is a little put out by no longer being the centre of attention in our house since the new arrival. Still gets his walks every day but in between you can see he’s not happy.

This was a BAD STATEMENT by me. I spoke to my boy subsequently & he pointed out the dog in the picture has an injured leg & that’s why he gave it a thumbs down. He doesn’t hate dogs, he felt sorry for it.

For the first time ever my dog refused his food at lunchtime and supper time last night and he was v sluggish. Out for a walk this morning he did a massive shit and there was a full child’s football sock inside in it …mystery over

We got our fella neutered yday. He definitely knew his fate for a few days in advance he was keeping a v low profile. He’s lonesome after them now he keeps looking down to the flat pack where he used to have two big golf balls
