Auld lads taking pictures of pints

Get herself to spin you down to the local for an hour or so.
Down a brandy and port (5 mins) and two (2) creamy ones and you’ll steady the ship.

If a marked improvement is noticed at the 40 minute mark another pint is recommended.*

  • A lad has had a bad turn is the preferred excuse - waiting on an ambulance

You need to top up your tan

Was at a match yesterday, then the local was running that mad 4 for 15 offer again. Moved onto another spot after that and ended up on the small ones.

You won’t be the last to fall at that fence. A feed of pints is bad enough but that’s fatal.

Causation or correlation?

Neither.
Guinness is the best seller now, followed by Hydrogen and Coors Light.

I can’t tolerate pints at all these days. Straight to the small ones and the hangovers aren’t near as bad.

You know you’ve moved onto another level in age and drinking when you’re doing that.

Danger here! The next step is drinking whiskeys like theyre pints… in for a couple of drinks… three quarters of a bottle and your senses gone…

:rofl: been there, are these my feet etc

I’d drag 5/6 whiskeys out over the course of an evening. The liver gets a nice sharp kick but the stomach doesn’t have to deal with the volume issues that pints bring.

I drank a lot of whiskey over Covid. The cans were hard on the stomach.

Slippery slope. I don’t touch it now at all.

In fact I rarely drink these days.

Havent had a whiskey after pints in donkeys years. Have a few mates that insisted I take one at the end of the night, but no means no in my latter years.

I wouldnt be right for days if I combined whiskey with pints.

A whiskey would be one unit of alcohol whereas a pint would be two and half, so you’re drinking way less alcohol too.

Welcome home a chara - actually looks more like the Long Hall

Got it in one. We’re staying across the road. Did the Croke Park tour today and rambled around. All including Mrs Moffat were asleep by 9:30 due to a 5:30 wake up! So I took the opportunity to dip across and have a couple.
