Aussie Rules 2013

Did they set fire to any dwarfs this weekend?

Goodes confirmed gone for the season now too for Sydney. It really is all falling apart on them now. More I think of it, the more I do think Carlton will turn them over. One team has won last 4 of 5, one team has lost the last 4 of 5. Home advantage and a bit more experience is in Sydneys favour, form and energy in Carltons. either way, Freo will smash whichever of them does win in the semi final.

Eagles back room team completely coming apart now. Head of operations Neale Daniher has stepped aside due to health reasons.

is it dwarfs or dwarves Sidney?

How is it all falling apart for the Swans now @Gman? Goodes hasn’t played since round 11 or something like that, they’re used to playing without him.
The Swans, backs to the wall, finals football, at home, Jude Bolton’s last home game. I wouldn’t bet against them. Can’t see Carlton doing it. A win like this sets the Swans up for a massive game against Freo, who are in form, but won’t like having to face the Swans.

@caoimhaoin - hows the whole Hawthorn are shit thing coming along?

Wherever did I saw that? I said they are over rated an on all known evidence can be got at in finals. They rely on clean disposals from hand and foot but mainly foot. That can be got at. At full tilt they are a super football team to watch, from any football sport. Thing is teams like Freo won’t let them go full tilt. Then their mentality will be tested and I believe it’s something they have worked in alot, but you never know, it might just be ingrained in a few if their players.

Sydney are done, absolutely exhausted. Their best down to about 75% of their best would be good enough to win at home against Carlton, but I doubt they’ll reach that. They don’t seem to have rested up enough this year.

If they do get thru Freo will belt them. Also Freo want them.

You are failing to look at the evidence available fitzy, more available in AFL than almost any other sport in the world.

Weather Goodes is out 8 weeks or not doesn’t matter. He is a top player. It’s lunacy to dismiss his unavailability, especially in Finals. It’s like KK missing Sheflin.

I’m not dismissing his unavailability Kev, he’s an awesome, awsome player. But he hasn’t played since round 13 and the Swans have somehow managed to get to the finals without him. I think too many people are dismissing the wealth of experience available to the Swans with players like Bolton, Shaw, McVeigh, Mummy, O’Keefe, Malceski, Jack, Richards etc. Dan Hannebery has been immense for us this season and its hard to believe he makes his 100th appearance at the weekend. Tippett could cut loose in this game and Lewis Jetta was back last week after being out since I think round 8, another weeks training under his belt, he’ll be fresh. They’re far from a one man team and they’ve shown the evidence to back that up.

Swans by 13.

No they are the epitome of “team”, I’ll give them that.

I’m a massive fan of the Swans and their culture and I have got a little tiny bit of insight into it working with one of their ex-players here. But they are heavily fatigued.

No great team is a one man show, but as KK showed this year, being without a centrally great players is often too much.

You cannot ignore how shit Sydney have been the last month.

sydney were 9-2 at round 13.

they are 6-5 since, plus one finals loss too.

I’m not sure how you cant say it is more falling apart for them now that he is confirmed out, nor that their most recent form has not been good.

I’m still undecided about tomorrows game, but I am swaying more and more to Carlton, but still expect Freo to beat whichever gets through.

Kreuzer out now for the Blues, big blow to them.

Carlton +20.5 is a good bet. Sydney will hardly score big

Cruzer out is huge. Swans are massive with Mumford, Pike, Tippet and that new lad. Rucking is such a massive part if AR I may hold off on betting on this one.

I’ve gone Carlton +19.5 & Sydney between 1-39, both around evens. Small money.

Think it will be right but Sydney will do enough.

Carlton will walk this.

21-15 Sydney. Sydney already lost 2 players to landing injuries, pitch looks shit. Massive advantage to opposition in AR to lose a rotation (sub that can go in and off, there is 5 but one is permanent once he goes on).

Carlton will be very happy.

Sydney well in top and could be more ahead, 54-32.

From a betting perspective I’m in good nick. Expect Carlton to have a burst but it probably won’t be enough.

Sydney playing at about 85%, that’s the difference so far. But they have played well in every first half of their last 5 losses

Just started watching this. Is Zach touhy playing?

Ya, playing half back. Carlton’s big men are soft cunts.

Sydney win by 23. Real glad I did that 2nd bet, covered the loss.

Carlton were poor and didn’t want it enough. Sydney rattled by injuries, another one in final seconds to O Keaffe. The pitch was a disgrace, 2 RL games played in it last night, mad stuff.

Hawthorn-Freo Final for sure.

great stuff kev
i backed the +44.5 when i saw your post
the betting was fluctuating hugely on PP, carlton went from +19.5 to +62.5 at the end of the third quarter and then back to +29.5 as the 4th was in progress
they did as you said have a late push,

Ya, only missed the double by one score, and they had enough of it. To be fair though I even thought the 1-39 was gone as well at one stage they were so abject (Carlton).

I really wonder how some of these lads make it to pro level. Size is a big thing. The amount of useless big lumps cheating a living around Australia between pro, semi-pro and even country is astounding. Carlton had 3 big fellas who should really be called in Monday to see what they were at.
