Or convict ball or bogan ball whatever you want to call it. Do we have any fans of the sport here?Im a Melbourne Demons fan mainly because of the Jim Stynes connection and their Melbournes oldest club.Melbourne have won 12 flags only Carlton Essendon and Collingwood have won more but their last title win was in 1964.I also have a soft spot for the Western Bulldogs. If Waterford fans thought they had it bad spare a thought for fans of the doggies. They have only won one flag in their entire history in 1954!
This lad has been a wonderful addition to the forum
Well do you support a team in the convict ball? :strokechin:
Do I fuck.
BC, we had a thread on the 2012 AFL season, do a search for it. GMan is the expert here and I will post betting selections, normally outtrageously accurate, throught the season. 2013 should be good, as my beloved Swans defend the flag.
How do you think the Demons and the Bulldogs will do next year?
I think they’ll both be in the hunt for bottom 4 placings alongside Gold Coast, Western Sydney, Port cunts and Adelaide. The Crows are in all sorts of bother with player payments and have just given up their first two rookie picks.
The Bulldogs have regressed seriously and the Dee’s have very little to talk of.
The Demons have no debt though and they bought in a lot of players during the pre season like Chris Dawes from Collingwood. They should be more competitive than they were this year at the very least!
Jim stynes?
he was a cunt
why the fuck hasnt flano cleaned house yet?
come on man, you shouldnt have let all those AFR cunts invading stop you doing your job!
For the record i never posted on the repugnant sewer that was an fear rua.

KILKENNY’S ALL-IRELAND minor winning hurling captain and the Kerry player who was man-of-the-match in the All-Ireland minor football final, both impressed at the latest Aussie Rules trial for emerging players in DCU last Saturday.
The AFL European Combine saw 22 players – ranging in age from 16 to 20 – gather at the Dublin venue with players from Denmark and England also present along with the Irish prospects. Kilkenny’s Darragh Joyce and Kerry’s Micheal Burns both caught the eye with their performances.
The official AFL website reports - “At 192cm, promising hurler Darragh Joyce impressed with his game-sense and skills, while Kerryman Michael Burns showcased his agility, aggression and huge aerobic capacity.”

The two star turns are both recent All-Ireland winners. Joyce is a younger brother of Kilkenny senior player Kieran who was man-of-the-match in the All-Ireland senior hurling final replay. Darragh’s club Rower-Inistioge don’t play football but he caught the eye with his performances for his school Good Counsel (New Ross) in the Leinster colleges football championship last year
Burns was instrumental in Kerry’s All-Ireland minor win this season while last December he made a major impression when coming on as a substitute for his club Dr Crokes in their AIB Munster senior football club final win.
Tadhg Kennelly, the AFL international talent manager, is confident that some of the players at last weekend’s combine will be recruited by AFL clubs.
“The combine has been a huge success. It’s well resourced, we’re getting great results, and I’m sure we’ll get one, maybe two players recruited next year.”
“The players picked the skills up so quickly you would think it was an under 18 team from Australia, so it was pretty impressive what they achieved in two days.
“It shows Irish players can make the transition to the AFL, but you’ve also got to work out who can handle it mentally, who can adapt moving to the other side of the world.”
Kilkenny
Rower mate, Rower
The Rower mate, The Rower.
He was on the Counsel senior team 2 years back at centre forward, but was injured all of last year. He is back in their this year so will be interesting to see how he goes with that. Certainly has the physical attributes for it. There was talk of this about a year and a half ago too when Sydney Swans were interested in him not long after he turned 16. He plays a good bit of rugby for New Ross too.
He was captain for the winning minor hurlers in September, whilst his brother got MOTM in the senior final, so was a good day all round for him then.

Well the brother got motm in the replay which was a different day than the minor final so 2 good days for the cnuts
Awesome game now between freo and hawks
Am I missing something here re Irish lads going down for trials? How many Dublin players have gone in recent years? Kerry have lost a good few. Apparently that o Connor lad is really special. If I was guessing I’d suggest playing for Kerry is the most lucrative outside of the dubs in either codes. Seems odd they keep losing so many and Dublin none.
