He spent the 2 weeks prior to the All Ireland re tweeting random posts from Premierview where anyone dared to suggest Tipp would win. Then made his twitter private after the final. Heās an unstable individual.
If up against two outstanding candidates from the team that walloped you, who went on to win the all Ireland with scintillating performances, probably not, no.
I believe itās only the 6th time since the inception of the hurler of the year award in 1958 that it was won by a player from a non All Ireland winning county. @Fagan_ODowd - any idea how it went down in Waterford in 1959 when Christy Ring was selected as hurler of the year ahead of the likes of Tom Cheasty and Philly Grimes? Was it accepted with dignity or was there the kind of sour grapes weāre hearing now from Tipperary?
How the fuck could they not give it to a Tipp player? Itās madness.
Itās insanity. The world is doomed.

It itās a player award not a team award.
Ah right. I didnāt get that.
Nobody really gives a shite either way. But itās great for the bit of banter and fun.
I was talking about this to one of the 1959 team a couple of years ago. The person I was talking to was by common consent the player of the year. He didnāt begrudge it to Christy.
Funnily enough the words he used were
Christy was box office.
Hmmmmm.
Austin is box office.
Itāll be framed and hung up in my bedroom
Twitter went mad .
Will Austin be competing in college/university competition this winter? If so, who does he line out with?
Think heās finished in WIT and works for one of the banks
Actually I think he might be part of the Bank of Ireland family. Your post has triggered a memory of seeing a picture of him on the intranet a while back representing the bank at a worthwhile event in the locality.
Yeah last I heard he had started with one of the banks, he had been in WIT whether heās finished there or not I dunno
Yes heās part of the greater Bank of Ireland family. He works in the branch on the Quay and has proved very popular with the customers with his cheery helpful demeanour and his can do attitude.
I heard he has a lovely way about him

I donāt say this very often but he literally could be anything.
