Austin Gleeson Appreciation thread

Thereā€™s a car for the year, thatā€™d be worth a few bob, but surely these boys at that end of the scale can get an auld car off a local dealer?

I wanted to add this in, but I didnā€™t want to let you down. Here it is now though. Poser.

Much smaller population than tipp as well in KK

Thought I read somewhere of a cash reward also, maybe Iā€™m wrong. Itā€™s wierd that people canā€™t accept that Tipp hurling folk might feel aggrieved that neither Callanan or Maher would be deemed hurler of the year. Doesnā€™t make the All Ireland victory any less sweeter.

And???

I think itā€™s self explanatory.

Humour me.

Boom thatā€™s it right there. Do you think if Limerick won the All Ireland anyone would give a fuck if they didnā€™t even get an all star.

When did the players start voting for it.

Ah no. You know what I mean. I was carrying it to the extreme. My point being that Gleason would gladly hand that reward back to see that last free against Kilkenny sail over the bar.

I couldnā€™t tell you. I expect if you google it you will find out.

Thought you knew if you were accepting the ravings of the most anti Tipperary loonbag in the world as valid points.

He is a very distinguished columnist.

Indeed. From my point of view it seems odd. Wrong is the wrong word. I donā€™t think he should have got it this year given the drubbing Tipp gave Waterford. Thatā€™s not to say heā€™s not the best Hurler in the country. He may very well be.

So if your team loses one match heavily in a year where they lose only three games in total, two of them replays, 1 and 2 point defeats, you shouldnā€™t get an award?
