Flew Delta there over and back to New York. Impressive enough operation. Left on time got in on time both ways. Decent grub and not shy with the drink and staff well able for the job at hand. Decent terminal in jfk as well.

In other news I didn’t darken the door of Scottys.

Why not?

Why the fuck would I go 25 blocks out of my way to eat in a bog standard diner?

Oh

You really missed a trick here mate. You could just have posted up a picture of scotty’s menu off the inter web and you’d have had a nice post

timestamp is a giveaway mate

I wouldn’t do anything that could damage Brand Fagan.

He got the likes from mentioning Scotty’s from
the contrarians.

Scotty’s is box office either way.

It’s why @Fagan_ODowd is a top, top Internetter.

In football parlance he used Scotty’s by not using it.

Delta way ahead of Aer Lingus in my opinion

The customer service is very good on AL to be fair. It’s just the planes are shit

Are all flights into terminal one in Dublin now being directed into passport control on the right hand side? Seems far slicker since the upgrades/makeover

What do you mean?

Previously in T1 you had that long walk from your arrival gate to passport control. You would go down the steps and passport control would be on your right.

I have had two flights in the last few weeks from Lisbon and Gatwick where I have landed at my gate, gone up a stair case and arrived a very short stroll into passport control but entered from the other side of the room with passport control on my left

That’s hardly with Ryanair?

Last night was Ryanair, previous time was TAP.

I’d say the walking time was cut down a good 60%

I’d say luck of the draw mate.

You must have landed at the circular departure gates with Ryanair - gates 200 - 210 I think which I note they’ve done in the past coming from the larger hub airports. Majority of their flights land at Pier D and that pox of a walk.

Too true did it last night😩

The majority of Ryaniar will come from the long pier, where gates 101-123 are. Most of the non-Ryanair T1 stuff comes from the 200 gates side, which has a much shorter walk to immigration. Occasionally the odd Ryanair sneaks in there, but it’s usually BA, CityJet etc that land there.
