I flew to New York with them via Oslo a couple of years back. Got two return tickets for around €600 in the middle of the summer. 12 hour lay over in Oslo but got a hotel in the airport for €75 - had to pay another €80 for luggage but the plane was fine and there was entertainment and food provided.
Think even with the hotel and luggage it worked out at half the price of Aer Lingus
Was that before they flew direct from Ireland? Think they flew from Cork initially and there’s a big fuss over it before they tried to transfer the slots to Dublin
Got Gatwick to JFK for less than 300 pound return on a brand new 787 dreamliner last year, unreal value, unreal plane, some lads would prefer to fly on some banger Aer Lingus have been operating for 24 years and pay 700 quid for the privilege
I flew from Dublin with them last year, around 350 return including checked in luggage. The flight was outsourced to some Portuguese carrier.
Flight was grand except it was full of Mayo roasters.
The airport we landed in isn’t far from that Woodbury Common outlet, about 90 minutes by bus from the Port Authority Bus Terminal (the most depressing place on earth).
The NY flight was to Stewart so not that far out, just over an hour in the car. Given the time it takes to get from the big 3 airports downtown, not that big a deal I’d say. Never took it myself.
Boston was Providence which wasn’t worth it if you wanted to go to Boston. Logan is 2 stops on the T or a short boat from downtown so you can be there in minutes off the plane. Providence is decent if you want to get to the Cape, Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket, as Boston traffic can be shit.
that thing never happened, it was all a cod, like this virus, we need to wake up and see what is happening to the world, I’d say Bill Gates was behind it
