I presume that is for routes out of Dublin. Have they updated on plans for Shannon?

Yip, Shannon is being turned into a go-karting track

Bad news for Shannon.

Good news for you - you might be able to reach the pedals.

I heard over the weekend that those working in Shannon Airport are being retrained to deal with C-19 contact tracing.

We’ve a big meeting tomorrow. I won’t be able to attend due to my well publicized bout of dizziness but I’d imagine redeployment of staff will be on the cards

They only have 3 routes out of Shannon afaik . Heathrow, Boston and NY.

Sure where else would you want to go?

Yep. I don’t think any are operating at the moment and presumably won’t for the foreseeable future.

They could be redeployed to train the DUB staff on how to operate a giant pointless warehouse.

How does this affect / effect their landing slots at those airports?

Sad to see Frankfurt put on ice. Always nice to meet with my German colleagues there.

This EU travel plan is due out in a week or so. Watch them put a load of countries on the green list while we are in lockdown

Dunno if this has been posted elsewhere, an interesting if grim read.

Theres a lot of tool makers who supply parts into aviation in ireland. Its a tough process to get approved and expensive too.

Aircraft/aviation leasing and the mini industry that went with it here was big bucks pay wise. I’d wonder how they’re coping now.
