You’re not the first to say that to me.

I’d love to retire there.
There or provence
Why just the EU? I’d Iceland & Morocco lined up before Chinese Bat Flu hit, either would be daycent now.
But sticking with the theme, somewhere I haven’t been before and somewhere Alp-ey, like Salzburg.
Vienna and Salzburg in the summer is savage
I was just looking at them on the map there, you could do a nice arc with the two of them and Munich.
We flew to Bratislava and rented a car and went over and back with a few pit stops and moving around Salzburg. Loads to do.
EU for the ease of it, health insurance not an issue, phone and data works there no hassle, could even work somewhere to get a feel for it.
I wouldn’t have interest in spending 8 grand to look at a quarry in Iceland to be honest.
Croatia. France Slovenia. Italia In no particular order.
Slovenia is beautiful and pretty much everyone is fluent in English.
Ah, anywhere really tbh. Maybe not Germany as it is too similar in many ways.
All solid choices. Would Germany not be more similar to engerland than oireland?
It would. It’s a great country, but I never quite found the peace there or the otherworldlyness you’d get in other European countries.
I like the country but just don’t know what to make of the locals. A friend of mine is over and back there weekly for the last decade or more. When I asked him what are Germans like, his simple reply was when you get to know them, a shower a pricks.
Hard to entirely disagree. They’re like the English without the wave of Irish immigration to dilute them.
Was watching a segment on Euronews there, they’re dusting the planes off and teaching pilots how to fly again.
I’ll be getting a disappointing croissant from a Pret a Manger in no time.
Shame on the airlines
Thankfully my carbon offsetting is ok
Did your wife buy that 4x4 yet?

Sounds more like it. You must have been joking back then.
