Didi is a lush who loves a punt. Jockser had some gallivant in Stuttgart
Called out we’ve only lost 1 match in last 7 and that was to a 97th minute goal so the team have been playing much better recently than the table shows.
5 of those 7 games came against Azerbaijan (X2), Andorra, Qatar and Luxembourg. 1 win and 4 draws. Should be 5 wins.

Think this is a reasonable summation. Thought we were bordering on poor for half an hour in the first half between the two goals. We stopped pressing and kept giving the ball back to them. It reminded me of how we often go back into our shells when defending a lead against far better sides. Much better second half - more control, structure and composure on the ball too. McGrath for Horgan helped. Retained possession better as a team and could have had at least two more goals. But 3-0 away from home is an excellent result. Ogbene’s pace and directness is a useful option on the break too. Robinson did very well for both goals and we now look to have a keeper and back three we can build around. I think Bazunu is going to be genuinely world class. He’s already superb at such a young age.

Yeah but he just mentioned it in passing as a stat and then said we should have won more games. I don’t think he makes it about himself that much always focusing on the players. As sadlier said his style is to be relentlessly positive about the players in public and what harm
He used to play Gaelic for Nemo. Had to choose between Gaelic and association football when he had a clash between a county final and a game for Cork city. He chose Cork City.

He has the trust of his defenders now which I don’t think was there in other games. They know he has them covered.
I’ve come down hard on jeff hendrick previously but credit where its due he was very good today. Energetic, got in the right places and used it intelligently at times without many brain farts.

I’m watching on delay here and the 7 game run just popped up. Of the 7 only the Azerbaijan draw was a very bad result. There was a draw in a meaningless friendly with Qatar apart from that it was draws with Hungary and Serbia, the Portugal game and comfortable away wins v Andorra and tonight. Nothing to write home about but not absolutely atrocious either as you might imagine results have been. I actually don’t know what Didis problem was watching it back 🤷
I’d say Nemo were playing a mixed ability team and he got sick of it
His main thing is that we’re not in a state to be getting carried away. 5 points in the group from 6 games. Yes tonight was positive but overall we should have done better. It’s just a proper realistic outlook
7 is a fairly arbitrary number which he only picked because it suited him as well.
