imagine hin gracing bog park:D
I wouldn’t say it is bad news for Ireland, granted we all know of his class but he is a far better/more consistent player for Roma than Italy
Would really scare me at all to be honest. Either way, Cyprus away is ten times the bigger game than Italy at home, so I am not sure what impact, if any, this would have on us. Do Italy still have to play Bulgaria again? Trouble for Bulgaria if anyone.
They have to play Bulgaria at home…Steven Ireland returning for us would have a far bigger impact than totti returning for them

How is that now, i watch a good mix of soccer, Italy have plenty of lads who can do a similar job to Totti, whether they are better or not is another story, so by him returning he won’t improve the team as much as Steven Ireland would strengthen the Irish side as we are very light in terms of quality in midfield…
without checking pukepedia(i.e within 1 minute of this post) name them
Del Piero
Giovinco
Rossi
Camoranesi
Montelivio
to name 5 off the top of my head

give over
why, name me one player in the current irish set up that could do a similar job to Steven Ireland in midfield?
give over talking tripe about the azzuri - comparing Camoranesi to the prince of Rome has ended this debate:D
Where did I compare him to the prince of rome, simply said that Italy have options in that area, camoranesi can play in the hole and has done before…Ireland have no centre midfield players who are capable of covering the ground and getting in the box from central midfield like steven ireland…
Aye, you’re right there NCC.
However, Totti would not strike any fear in my heart. Has never done anything of note at international level.

apart from been lippis first choice on the team that won the world cup, been picked on the fifa top players of the world cup(all this while not been 100% fit) & been man of the match in the european championships final
Totti would certainly add to the Italian team at the moment, they seem to be lacking any kind of real spark in their team this campaign.
I might even go to that Unoccupied Ireland/Italy match if the great man comes back. Hopefully Totti will destroy the bastards.
The two great men to face each other down at last, Stevie v Cesco.
A Battle for the ages.
I heard Flano boxed the ears off Totti
Have a feeling your talking scheidt here Puke.
Camoranesi always struck me as a hard working hard running player playing on the right of midfield or as a central midfield stopper. Certainly cant see him as a successful number 10.
I think Totti is finished at the highest level. May get a goal that gets them to the World Cup but cant see him making an impact against a decent side. Italy are in transition at the moment but they are well capable of turning it around.
I think Andrews is capable of getting into the box but Trapp’s tactics are holding him back. Created Doyles chances v Bulgaria in that manner. Think he has goals in him. Ireland is obviously a technically superior player but I still dont think he is the clone of Roy Keane/Zinedine Zidane that people are suggesting he is.
Sunday World confirmed Stevie is back as Umbro have taken his fittings for his new jersey
