A place for everything and everything in its place.

Banana bread on the way here, cooking up a storm with a lamb curry and cauliflower and cheddar soup on the go as well.

Its not the first time i have remarked on that lovely quartz worktop.

Will you be sharing that with anyone special, mate?

I will.

Banana bread with walnuts and macadamia nuts.

Nice one . Looks quiet pale compared to most banana bread I’ve seen. What flour do you use?
p.s. That’s not a bad thing, it looks very nice.

its just a strong white flour. It does seem a bit lighter in colour than usual, not sure why as the bananas were fine and ripe.

Ah yes I would use white wholemeal myself. It looks top notch I’ll give a loaf of that a go the next time I’m baking a batch.

Bumped for @Portumna_Bridge
I use this recipe for banana bread but change it up a bit

Recipe? Made some the other day and they weren’t great. Didn’t help that they were borderline cremated

Had a go at this one. She probably got 5 minutes too long in the oven but i got carried away with the horses earlier. I might do more baking of a Saturday.

Baked my first brown bread of the season there.
Turned out well but I used the Aldi Stoneground wholemeal flour, it’s very coarse/crunchy. Nice for a change but not sure I’d use it again. It also seemed to make less of a mixture than the same amount of other flours.
