Barney was a gent. That was a very touching doc almost worthy of the man
Just reading his book again. He paints an incredible picture when describing him and his dad heading to Manchester to work and getting up at 4:30 am and returning to their digs at 11:30 at night for a year and a half.
Different times for sure.

It wired Barney differently to everyone else. Working off that debt meant a personal vendetta against the bookies

Interesting Michael butler has one in gowran that looks like a plot. He was a close friend of Barney’s and I’m fairly sure he’s John’s father who took over from barney in his training base.
Des Donovan lined up a similar touch the day of the bellewstown memorial.
