I’m after-timing here but I had Athlone at 5/6 yesterday and QPR at around the same odds today. Some good value to be had at the start of the English league season if you do a bit of research.
Please post your picks for soccer or anything else here.
Derby are evens at home to Blackburn tomorrow and I might sneak a few bob on them. Blackburn have some serious players in their squad, including about 3 strikers who’d grace most EPL teams, however, I can only assume they’re still a disorganised rabble with a bloated squad and Derby on the first day should be well up for a win, seeing as they’d have notions of promotion.

that analyis is good enough for me, ill fire a tonne on Derby
The bookies have it all priced arseways this weekend as it’s the first weekend of the season. Posh were better than evens yesterday at home against Swindon, ffs. If I’d had a few bob more to spare I’d have made a killing. My uncle was telling me he was on a treble at 8-1 and they were all handy shots.
Having said all that and jinxed it, Derby will probably get stuffed now.
good start tho as we were within a minute of being rich
need to see this as merely money leant to the bookies
the championship really is where its at in terms of quality football and good value betting and i agree 100% the opening 3 /4 games are where the money is to be made
I also like Yeovil to beat Birmingham. Yeovil are in dreamland and fired home a late winner against Millwall at The New Den last week. This will be there first ever home game at this level. If Paddy Madden plays he’ll be on a high from his Eire stand-by call-up and chances are he’ll get on the scoresheet. He usually does. Birmingham are shit, lost at home to Watford last week (no disgrace, granted) and scraped past Plymouth in the Rumbelows Cup during the week.
If you want to make it a treble, throw in Blackpool to beat Barnsley, who will, eventually, finally, get relegated this season.

except for the time he lost the league for the gypos
Ipswich 2-0 up. Thanks chewy. Have trebled em up with Cork and Clare too. Drunkenly backed the last 2 winners in Tipp last night too. Quite a successful weekend thus far.
Jason Day is currently 66/1 in running with PP in the USPGA golf. A good e/w chance at that price as he is tied 7th on -4 through 9 holes. Leader is -9.
