Bet Fred Cup

Celtic get their defence of the cup underway tonight at home to Kilmarnock.

Rodgers has gone for an experimental lineup:

@Rocko, do you have a match link?

Penalty to Celtic. Hayes tempted some dope into a silly tackle.

Grrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiifffffffffffffiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhsssssssssssssssssss

I take it back. That was never a penalty.

Raaaaaaaaallllllllllllssssssssssssstttttttttttoooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Griffiths makes it 3

This is really impressive by Celtic. The young players are excelling here.

Griffiths intercepted a back pass there, eschewed laying it across to Hayes for a tap in and had his effort saved.

Kouassi has been really good but has gone down here and looks like he’s having to go off. Overstretched when winning the ball back. That’s crap news as talk from Rodgers was he’s fully settled in now and ready to play.

Ntcham for Kouassi.

Unbelievable 40-yard strike by Tiiiiieeeerrrrrnnnnneeeeeyyyyyyyyy.

Armstrong made it 5 from a Ralston cross.

Finished 5-0.

Stokes x2 and Ambrose were on target for Hibs tonight.

What a fucking goal from Kieran Tierney. Sensational.

That’s a terrific performance from a very young team.

are ye ok with this from the weekend lads?

The reaction of the guy who ducks at 0:46 is magnificent.

That’s the great Kyle Broadfoot. Left with egg on his face.

I’m broadly okay with it but it’s a bit exaggerated. Tell your zionist pals that he hasn’t really been tested as Rosenborg played with the fairly immobile Bendtner upfront on his own and Hearts had mad Kyle Lafferty stomping around fouling anything that moved and looking to get sent off.

Bitton was fairly assured though and moved the ball out of defence well. He got caught a couple of times pushing too far forward into midfield when he should have dropped off but that’s to be expected. Simunovic beside him has started the season excellently and was Celtic’s best player in Norway.

Both of them were rested for last night’s cup game with Celtic playing three (3) nineteen (19) year olds in defence along with Tierney (20 / twenty). Ajer, the young Norwegian, played well again last night and was fine in the home game against Rosenborg. He’ll be Bitton’s main competition for the slot alongside Simunovic for the last CL qualifier in the continuing absence of Boyata and Sviatchenko.

sound,
that’s as complex as it will get tho this season domestically at least
hearts would be similar to all other SPL clubs in the way they approach a game at Parkhead and as SPL strikers go Lafferty historically would be considered to be prolific id imagine (removing your rogue celtic center forward who is way too good for the competition and whose numbers will distort the baseline), we know how poor a player Rooney is at Aberbeen, etc and he is considered to present a challenge…

the Astana game will be interesting allright as it;; be the first technical test celtic wil have this season.
trying to keep an eye on him closely as his regression over the last season or so is a little concerning give the poor calibre of opposition

Would you blame the fucker ? . On the end of a hiding and why risk a broken nose and consequential disfigurement to keep the score down.
