i assume you are trying to get a reaction by referring to the club as Glasgow Celtic KIBâŚchildish to say the least.
You say a certain element want him outâŚI can assure you it is a large majority. Of all the Celtic fans on here, I think NCC is the only one who supports him on this matter - although deep down I think he is winding us up.
Go across to other Celtic fora and you will see what the Celtic support think of Strachan this morning.
Could you flesh out your âwrong side of the tracksâ comment please
Why do a large majority want him out. Its insane.
Judging by this thread it appears that winning three SPL titles in a row does not constitute being successful. Its speaks volumes for the perceived worth of SPL titles.
My take on the âwrong side of the tracksâ comment was that Strachan is presumably a Protestant so he never really had the Glasgow Celtic fans on his side no matter what he did.
Otherwise it was because he was a prominent ex Aberdeen player so the fans were never going to take to him either.
Both truly ridiculous reason for not fully supporting a manager that has delivered as much as Mourinho could have working with the same constraints that Strachan has.
If this was any other player bar McGeady would the âfansâ have reacted the same? If McGeady has any interest in Glasgow Celtic as a club he should take his punishment and apologise publically. Surely he isnât so stupid as to realise that his best performances have come under Strachan and he has an awful lot to be thankful for.
Then again, would I be naive in thinking that McGeady has instigated this with Jan around the corner because he wants out?
TFK is enough of a Celtic forum for me. (See I didnt put Glasgow in there
not sure how true that comment by KIB would be- Jock Stein is loved & id guess he was a rangers fan as a kid as were other hereos such as daglish etc
I think as a player the celtic fans didnt take to him & one attacked him
to a certain extent WGS doesnt court the fans affection - he doesnt come out & declare his undying love for the club & some are too petty to get over that
o squealmade comments that he would have walked to celtic park to take the job & fans bought into that while in reality o squeal took an OBE so there is a duplicity with him

its now established that the club is not âGlasgowâ celtic, i like a few others it seems have been educated, but why would someone see the use of it as trying to get a reaction?
is it a touchy subject or something i donât get this.
They are Celtic, they are from Glasgow, why would putting the two together be seen as something untoward or a wind up?
kenny Dalgleish was as black as your bootâŚdidnât stop cletic fans loving himâŚi think its more strachanâs horrible arrogance that annoys teh fans

It seems some here are too petty to get over OâNeill taking an obe.
I donât want McGeady to leave and I think Stachan has over-reacted, but the Board has to back its manager. Iâm still astonished that so many Celtic fans want rid of Strachan and Iâm sick of hearing about this âCeltic-mindedâ rubbish from various people - Iâm not accusing people on here of that btw.
The facts speak for themselves - heâs never failed to win the league and got to the last 16 of the Champions League twice and completely overhauled the team while spending far less money than OâNeill. By any standards heâs the best Celtic manager since Stein. However the upshot of this I feel is that McGeady will leave in January and that Strachan will go in the summer. At the moment I donât see many people who will come in and do a better job.
I donât understand the ambivalence to WGS- personally think he is a bit of a ginger genius myself. Has done very well with a moderate deck of cards. I would have thought the whole undying love for the club was a load of bullshit and the supporters wouldnât be taken in by it. WGS doesnât play the game, remember reading somehwere ( sunday times maybe) an article where he said he was shocked at the intensity of interest in the club, when he moved back up. Think he said that he moved out of the city and doesnât socialise in it to stay out of wayâŚ
Anyway there are no winners in all of this. As bandage says you wouldnât want your performance critiqued in front of your colleagues, however this is football and not an office. You take your medicine at the time and get on with it. Presume it was a bit of a hairdryer thing and that WGS would have had a better discussion in private at a later date.

We are in decline though Sid and need a fresh voice to turn things around.
Look at results this yearâŚ6 big games this season and its 2 draws and 4 defeats. Europe was a disaster.
Personally I think any football manager would have led Celtic to the last 3 championships.
I think Celtic are a very poor side at the minute with Rangers slightly poorer.
To stop the decline, I think a new manager is the way forwardâŚpreferably a Celtic minded one
