So, it’s over tonight and I have not watched one second of one episode of it. Yes, that does make me better than you. http://www.thefreekick.com/board/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif
I have to admit that I watched the finale of Big Brother last night. It may have something to do with the fact that it was either that or study. It was great television watching Pete literally go nuts when he won. For those of you who don’t know he’s the guy with Tourette’s. I don’t know if anyone here is an expert on the condition but why is it that he only says ‘wankers’ all the time? I thought that you didn’t discriminate with regard to swear words when you are a Tourette’s sufferer. ???
Didn’t really watch it, the odd time for a bit of eye candy but never followed it.
Is anyone here willing to own up to watching Love Island. I have to say I’m watching it fairly frequently now. Its fooking hilarious, car crash tv! The producers manipulate absoultely everything and the so called celebs are humiliated over and over again. Brilliant! Plus there are a few bakini clad babes in there too, what more could you want??

Ps theres no spell check option on these posts? You’ll have to put up with all my bad spelling so http://www.thefreekick.com/board/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif
I watched big brother.
By all means look down your noses at the show. That’s what I did. But don’t look down your noses at people who watch it. I don’t watch it religiously or anything and I did grow a little bored of it this year towards the end but it makes for fantastic television.
This year there was a guy with tourettes and a gay chap from Glasgow who had a nervous breakdown on national television. For me this was car crash stuff and absolutely fascinating to watch. And last year yer man Craig completely and utterly cracked up in front of millions of people and started to stalk another housemate…DEADLY!
I know it’s totally lowbrow but there is nothing wrong with that. I can’t be highbrow all the time. It’s important to get the mix right. I don’t eat crayfish and rocket sandwiches for lunch everyday. Sometimes I eat a ham sandwich. There is nothing wrong with a simple pleasure.
The ‘that does make me better than you comment’ was posted in jest. I was just delighted I hadn’t fallen into the trap of wasting my time watching it like last year. If it’s simple pleasure you’re after then you won’t get better than Big Brother.
This coming from an avid Eurovision and Rose of Tralee viewer.
Hmmmmmm was it in jest Bangage, really?
I almost managed to completely avoid it this year, except for literally the last night when I caught a glimpse of a heavily preggers host feeling her belly as she waddled along a stage. A bit fookin sick if you ask me. Who wants to see a heavily pregnant woman doing that on so called entertainment? Equality my orse.
Its bullshit, big brother and all the shite that it has spawned. Reality TV is a cheap way of getting viewers. Get out and play 5 a side footie, go to the park for a run or the pub for a heated debate on the merits of reality TV but fook don’t sit like a zombie and watch the shite.
Rant over.
