His name is balbec, mate
Very witty, Mac.
You mean Bac
The knockout rounds. Very poor, indeed.
Italy - from insipid strikers to playing for a draw against Uruguay.
Higuain - this guy should be doing better. He actually looks depressed, a little devoid of confidence. Him, Lavezzi and Cavani all thrived in the hotbed that is beautiful Naples, yet all 3 look pale shadows of themselves this past month.
The ex-Yugoslav teams - I expected more from Croatia and Bosnia especially.
The Africans again failing to break through.
A lot of big players have failed to live up their billing.
Hazard - did fuck all in the tournament.
Messi - hasn’t done anything in the knockout stages yet.
Ronaldo - did nothing as his team crashed out of the World Cup
Portugal
Italy. Brasil. The knockout stages. The refereeing.
Agreed-Belgium as a whole were fairly disappointing.
Best players in the tournament were generally defenders & lack of high scoring games once group stages finished.
Lack of quality technical midfield players & Brazil’s demise has been awful to watch when you consider the way they used to play the game.
Lack of memorable games such as England - Argentina back in 98, wasn’t enough high scoring games where both teams had a go.
I’d argue Italy get a pass just for Pirlo making a mockery of England. That was a magical night.
