Rugby league is the game of the people in “Oz”, mate.
But if it’s movers and shakers your mate wants, none other than Mr. Prime Minister is a fellow fan of my beloved Sea Eagles, in fact myself and Abbo used to share a bit of NRL banter most mornings when I was down outside his house having my morning cigarette.
I went to one rugby union football match there (Australia v France) and nobody was actually watching it - I sat beside two bogans from Wexford, although they were sound enough bogans, one of them bought me a beer.

Collingwood, I think. I found the Sydney Swans crowd to be very middle class.
