Hon Cheddar…???
The one and only
Tell on. Game, venue etc etc.
1976 Minor Football Championship winning captain of the Portlaoise team. That young fella must have been the inspiration for the wooly hat.
Was it played before a Senior Final? Great crowd on show.
Playing Minor Finals before Senior club finals is thoroughly Right and should never have been shelved by countless cunting Co Boards.
I’d say so, thats O’Moore Park and Portlaoise won the Senior that day too so it would explain the crowd.
Aye, its sad to see the Minor finals no longer played before the Senior games anymore. In Laois they’ve taken to playing the Intermediate with Senior in football and Senior A with Senior in the hurling. On one occasion they played 3 finals in a row, Intermediate, Senior A and Senior in the hurling, great value for money, but no place for the minors. A shame really.
Winning a Minor Final with a crowd in to see it, taking in the Senior Final & watching players you want to emulate only making the day all the sweeter.
It’s a tradition that should never have ceased & cunts should burn in hell for it.
Sean Ramsbottom presenting the trophy ??? Is he still alive btw. A Timahoe man where Bobby Millar came from
Well spotted @Boxtyeater. Seán is still going alright, his grandson Seán captained the Laois Minor Footballers to a Leinster Final win back in 07. Hes a bit of a rogue is Sean junior shall we say. Bobby is sadly missed around the county, his daughter Alison is tearing it up on the wing for the Irish womens rugby team. While this isnt the place to go looking for credit for that, she is a decent athlete in her own right and that was how she fell into the rugby thing only 2 or 3 years ago.
christ
Dont you fucking dare say a bad word about Bobby Miller or his offspring mate, or we could be in serious e trouble.
Beautiful deference shown. The Northie lads have always known their betters.
Fitzmaurice is very fat.
Probably wears his medals around his waist.
Jesus, that’s some clamping.
