Bookmakers and general Money Laundering on the Dark Web

not likely. I have cut back my punting in a big way the past few months.

Why?

That would be long term profit that would be big enough for your a/c to come to the attention of the Risk Dept.

No particular reason really. I just havenā€™t had the time to give the horses the attention they need if you want to punt on them successfully.

Same as me, iā€™ve had to pare back my betting operation in recent months due to taking on certain other activitiesā€¦

I was in the Markets Field last night and there were iā€™d say 7 bookies there. I didnā€™t see at least two of them take a single bet at any point during the entire evening. Astonishing really, i donā€™t know how some of them are surviving. I almost feel sorry for themā€¦

Since when have Betfair been charging 5% commission? I thought it was 2.5% at one stageā€¦

Everyone starts at 5% and it goes down with the amount you gamble.

It goes down automatically or have you to make a request? I presume youā€™d want to be betting in fairly big amounts to be given the reduced commissionā€¦

[/quote]It goes down by itself and yes you need to be betting in thousands for that.

Wasnā€™t there an antepost betting thread there a while back? Iā€™d rather not start a new thread on the same topic. Maybe the Runt could give a root for it and dig it out, he likes that sort of thingā€¦

As an experienced punter could you please give your opinions on the theory I posted in the horse racing thread.

As an IT expert could you please dig out the aforementioned threadā€¦

Horse Racing isnā€™t my speciality, i donā€™t look in on that thread all that often. Iā€™ll have a look now and see what youā€™re on about.

Iā€™m looking for a bit of advice hereā€¦

I have two online betting accounts - Betfair and Paddy Power. I would say 90% of my betting is done online now, i rarely enough go into bookies anymore. Of the two i mainly use Betfair and find that i generally only use Powers now for backing a few dogs at Shelbourne Park on a Saturday night. Basically i donā€™t want to limit myself to the one bookie even for this purpose and have decided to open another account with another bookie. Iā€™m looking for ideas as to who to go to. Iā€™m thinking of Ladbrokes as at least theyā€™ll have the rights to the Irish Greyhound Derby which will allow me to watch all the heats live online.

Any suggestions anyone?

You should have an account with every online bookmaker if youā€™re to have any hope of punting professionally, god knows theyā€™ll be closed quick enough if youā€™re any use.

Ah iā€™m not interested in turning professional just yet, SS**. Iā€™m just looking for an alternative to Powers for greyhound betting. I wonā€™t be opening multiple accoutnts.

Any objections here to Ladbrokes?

They are no more odious than the rest of them Dunph.

I see Powers arenā€™t paying their staff the traditional Cheltenham bonus due to ā€˜the recessionā€™ despite the fact that they mopped up at Cheltenham. It makes me laugh to see staff show loyalty to a company when the truth is the company couldnā€™t give two figs about them. Number one is all that matters.

Thats a bit irish now, the bookies are doing better than ever over the past few years.

Scumbags.

Sure they posted big profits this year. Cunts.
