As a spectacle, yes, it will be fantastic. As a profitable event, maybe, I’ll wait and see how it pans out. I must get onto Patrick Veitch first and see what he fancys!

I was passing along the canal at lunchtime and there was some work being done on the road between Rathmines and Leeson St. The traffic was backed up quite a bit going both ways and I hope this doesn’t interrupt Dunph’s plans.

Ladbrokes offered the bet of the year today and I still can’t figure out how they priced it up. In the Down Kildare game they offered 4/5 that either team would win by 4 points or less or it would be a draw. They had Kildare at 5/6 and Down around 11/8. I’ll be looking out for them offering those types of bets again.
