Bookmakers and general Money Laundering on the Dark Web

Palpable error once CMC was ruled out. Someone with deep enough pockets could take them to court over it if they wanted but it wouldn’t get settled quickly

I’d be thinking the same but I’d say it’s a growing business alright.

Your man ak bets had an interesting podcast this week for all hugh Cahill is very annoying.

The lawyer is very good he’s on with him.

No doubt there is black market gambling, particularly with Revolut. However any suspicous transactions are referred to Police/Taxes, even Revolut, so I doubt its anywhere near that figure.

I’m not sure cash being transferred between Revolut acocunts would look too suspicious?

Some of the big operators have 90%+ of their turnover from markets where Gambling isn’t even allowed. There’s money coming in from Asian Dark Markets by the million. Lads in the UK betting into a dark market is a lovely distraction strategy while they cream the fuck out of unregulated dark markets. You literally couldn’t make it up.

Depends on the quantum and quantity of transactions. All financial institutions are obliged to report suspicious transactions, so a lad operating as an unlicensed bookie on Revolut will be reported to the appropriate authority, if hes doing it on a large scale.

I kind of thought Revolut was sort of a Wild West still but I’m no expert on it.

I’m trying to give up carrying anyway about these sort of things anyway.

Revolut are very much subject to the same regulations as any other bank trading here in the state and therefore obliged to comply with the suspicious transactions legislation. As I said unlikely to affect some lad operating on a small scale, but Ive no doubt larger fish would be reported and then investigated by the relevant authorities.

I guess one obvious thing is people don’t gamble on line due to bank statements for loans being an issue.

It is probably very convenient for them to use a what’s app bookie.

Has anyone read up much on this? At first glance it seems way more aimed at restricting punters than forcing the big chains to level the playing field

This fella is meant to be an awful tulip. I’d say climate change will take care of horse racing but god we live in a weird world.

They’ll come for the drink next.

Seems a lot of bullshit from your man Brownes tweets. I see a few in the comments lorrying into the national lottery and the Newstalk Cash Machine and rightly so.

It’s an attack on the classes as per usual. You can use what money you want to fiddle around with shares and what not.
