I see lads betting on the livescore app a fair bit now and there doesnāt seem to be complaints. No idea where the registered entity is
You havenāt many protections with the legal ones either
I wouldnāt be surprised if Boylesports didnāt exist in 5yrs time. They are a terrible outfit. They have the most physical betting shops by some distance in Ireland and they foolishly expanded heavily their footprint in the UK in recent years buying shops that were previously William Hill shops. Anyone with a brain knows that the only people in shops NOWADAYS are OAPs/unemployed/druggie types. This has been the case for the last 10 years and anyone under 30yrs old theyāre not really going into a shop for a bet. So all the while their core of old men are dying out and not being replaced.
On top of that you have the UK hugely increasing betting tax in the last 12 months plus people are put off with the affordability checks over there where youāve to put forward every piece of paperwork imaginable to prove that you can afford to bet, to the extent itās totally put people off and they just go to the black market instead who take their money and donāt ask questions. Boylesports arenāt even in the US yet and itās probably too late now to enter (too far behind, will be too costly to gain a foothold, website and product too shit anyway to compete).
So their main focus is UK and Ireland, which has collapsed due to increased taxes and affordability checks. And even with that they are more of a shop presence in that region than online, and thatās collapsing even more for same reasons as online + due to demographics reasons (old dying, young not coming in).
No one in their right would touch them IMO and I actually think they will come under pressure now soon to survive - could be a Celtic Bookmakers type situation.
Naive question.
Do bookies own those buildings or just lease them. Assume latter.
Lease them.
Was this Icyās mate?
Scandanavia going to destroy them here imo
No Scotty tips I believe - ridiculous staged carry on
Did he sell a few pitches a while ago
That looks like a huge commitment - he thinking bigger betters will move to betting more on course soon?
Yeah totally contradicts his offloads. Maybe heāll sell a few of these too and keep the prime ones
Heās constantly moaning about taking low value bets but I donāt think heās ever best price in the ring so what does he expect? If his website is anything to go by, any big hitter would be promptly refused or stake aplit.
Ive had two very large bets on snooker with akbets. The only two bets i had with them and the experience was very positive.
Did they win ![]()
No.
He and the Boylesports mob think (thought) online gambling will be banned with Irish licences Iād say
ā¬3.1m he paid for the pitches.
need ca$h to wa$h ca$h
Would this really happen?
