Bookmakers and general Money Laundering on the Dark Web

Love the wording of the mail too. ā€œBetting Patternsā€.
Yeah there seems to be a pattern hereā€¦

We need to do something to this accountā€¦ But what? :strokechin:

I know Iā€™ve asked you before, but Iā€™m curious why you wouldnā€™t bet more with the exchanges? Surely they wonā€™t boot you off (as all they care about is market liquidity) and arguably you could get better odds?

I pretty much hate betfair Tallback. There is no liquidity on Irish racing, no interest in rugby, shit liquidity there too, they donā€™t offer the same number of handicap/total point markets and of course you canā€™t bet on southern hemisphere stuff without sending a patch of your dna to the aussie government. If you want to have a proper bet on a horse early in the day or on a sport like rugby then betfair is not the place to go.
Iā€™m put out by this email though, I canā€™t get on now in the majority of online bookmakers, it might be time to employ some acne ridden college student to bet for me onine.

Where hasnā€™t restricted you yet? Takes nothing for most of them to shut you off now. Iā€™ve been reduced to simply not betting which most people would say is a good thing :frowning:

Little to no GAA on Betfair either. Certainly no liquidity.

Also the commission on Betfair is a pain in the hole.
By the time you factor that into the odds you are getting, they are most likely the same or worse than you are getting with the best available fixed odds market.

I havenā€™t used Betfair in months.

VC and ladbrokes are my only accounts that are in full use now. :o Itā€™s an absolute disaster for me. I presume if I opened accounts in her name they would be shut? Similar address etc.

Similar name, IP address matching etc. Best bet would be that mule of a brother in law. VC will probably leave you go another while but probably wonā€™t have that much rugby. Ladbrokes will close you after 1 good weekend.

Yeah I might get him to open a few accounts, it could get messy though with having to use his card, put money into his account, withdraw from his account etc. Itā€™s just a pain. If Ladbrokes were going to close me or even restrict me they would have done so by now, I think they are my only hope. VC account I opened in January and I donā€™t see it lasting much longer tbh, they already restrict my in-play bets.

You should have a look at sporting index for rugby bets. Might work out as slightly worse odds but far greater upside potential.

I asked could they not just restrict me rather than closing the account, hereā€™s the response ,

Dear Mr XXXXXXX,

I am afraid that this decision has been taken at the highest level and will not be reversed.

Kind regards,

Cathy

I looked into spread betting Mac but there were a few problems. The downside is pretty bad if you get on the end of a freak result and they require an awful amount of ID docs to open an account.

Wouldnā€™t that be win win lose lose ?

Ask them what exactly they mean by ā€œtop levelā€. No explanation for the closing of the account was actually given in that email.

Thereā€™s no real point persisting, they ainā€™t gonna budge. Thankfully for them they donā€™t have to give a reason, after all they are bookies.

Everyone is answerable.

This isnā€™t the US of A. Iā€™ll drop them another mail for the laugh.

Thereā€™s a plethora of new bookies on oddschecker.com like Youwin, pinnacle give them a bash.

Bashing bookies is what put him in this position in the first place!

Would you not just walk into a shop and put a bet on. Appreciate that this is not a flyer for in running betting.

I believe, and am open to correction, that the bookies could now trace your handwriting from in store dockets if hey wished? Anyone?

I mentioned here before getting shut down after backing a horse for a pal of mine who was shut down everywhere. I was in his place a few weeks ago, and backed a winner at his place, on my own iPad, but on his wifi. Limited to pittance and SP the following day. Cunts.
